In the Name of God Amen I John Court of Kenilworth in the County of Warwick Stoker being Sick and weak in Body but of Sound and disposing mind memory and understanding Praised be God for the Same and being desirous to Settle my Worldly Affairs whilst I have Strength and Capacity so to do Do therefore make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) ffirst I Give and bequeath all those two Sums of money due upon two Several Promissory Notes one whereof was given to me by John Newell of the Swantass House in old Gravel Lane in the Parish of St George in the County of Middlesex bearing date the first day of September in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and ffifty six and the other was given to me by John Boston of Broad Street Old Gravel Lane aforesaid Brewer bearing date the Ninth day of November last and also the Sum of one Guinea due to me from Thomas Griffis Clerk of the Brewhouse belonging to Mr Hugh Roberts and also all that ffeather Bed Bolster Pillow Bedstead and ffurniture belonging and also a Chest together with all my wearing Apparel contained therein standing and being in a certain Room over the Watch house in a Brewhouse belonging to the said Hugh Roberts situate in Old Gravel Lane in the Parish of St George aforesaid And also all the rest and residue of my Personal Estate of what nature or kind soever after the Payment of all my just Debts ffuneral Charges and the Expences of Proving this my Will unto my Dear and Loving Sister Mary the Wife of Joseph Sumner of Kenilworth aforesaid Labourer if she shall be living at the time of my decease But if it should happen that she should depart this Life before me then I Give and bequeath the same unto and amongst all and every the Child or Children of her Body Share and Share alike And Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Sister sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking disannulling and making void all former and other Will and Wills by me at any time heretofore made In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set and Put my hand and Seal this thirteenth day of December in the thirty first Year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Great Britain ffrance and Ireland King Defender of the ffaith and so forth and in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty seven John Court
